Our commitment

Capstan Insurance Group is working to make this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on captions. Insurance is something people need regardless of ability, and a website that locks someone out is a website that failed at its job.

Where we are

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our target. We are actively reviewing this site against that standard and fixing what we find. We are not claiming that every page meets it today. We would rather tell you plainly where we are than put a badge on the page and hope.

Some of what we are working through:

• Checking color contrast across the site, so text stays readable against every background we use.
• Making sure every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a focus outline you can actually see.
• Reviewing image descriptions, headings, and page structure so a screen reader reads the site in an order that makes sense.
• Reviewing our contact form so every field is clearly labeled and any error is explained in plain language.

Tell us about a barrier

If you run into a page you cannot use, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to fix it, and it helps everyone who comes after you. Please include the page address and a short description of what happened and what you were trying to do.
